What Dragon Ball Means to Me

Akira Toriyama's passing shocked me as much as it did anyone else. I had been wondering if I had anything worth saying, and I decided to talk about what Toriyama's most famous work means to me. I got glimpses of the early dub of Dragon Ball on TV. However, it was watching Dragon Ball Z on Toonami that got me into the franchise. Watching DBZ, my thoughts on Dragon Ball were that it was an epic action series. Watching the OG Dragon Ball anime, I saw how it started lighter and sillier, though it never abandoned its clever comedy. Works after the original manga have had their ups and downs; however, I always find myself coming back to the Dragon Ball franchise. I hold it close to my heart because of the memories I have of it from my youth and because my thoughts have evolved, so I appreciate it in new ways. I am fully aware that Toriyama envisioned Dragon Ball as a gag series, and his editor helped steer it toward an action/comedy that wasn't meant to have any messages.

TF Fall of Cybertron and Devastation sequel ideas

So Transformers has managed to break the typical rule about bad licensed games in recent years, but it's two best entries Fall of Cybertron and Devastation respectively ended on a cliffhanger and more sequel bait. Sadly there doesn't seem to any plans for a sequel with the latter. The latter won't be getting a sequel because the half wits at Activision decided to make a tie in game to Age of Exinction that literally nobody but them wanted, handed the game to a different developer than High Moon. When handing the development a sequel to a different developer and making them work on short notice to tie in with a movie didn't work, Activision de

Match Ideas: Despero

"I'm going to have Batman do things to you... that he never even knew he was capable of." Fuck Doomsday. So I've mentioned this guy several times in earlier match ideas list, but I haven't made a bio for him because I can't find as many feats for him as I would like. So I'll settle for doing a match idea list. Despero started as an insignificant alien dictator who ruled a planet called Kalanor. Back then he wasn't much of a threat, despite his psychic powers making sound pretty dangerous, with the Justice League thwarting him time and time again without much difficulty. That changed once he was empowered by the Flame of Py'tar, turning him

Fandex: The Three Stooges

"Of the many calamities the gods of wrought upon mortals, none are as terrible as the Three Stooges. So terrible are they, that the gods themselves regret it. And not just because they are also victims of the Stooges, though that is part of it." -Lorgar Aurelian The universe as we know is not the first that the powers of Chaos have invaded. There have been many others, and though they do not wish to admit it, they are not always successful. Three particular universes, they have taken every effort to ensure that no being knows they ever attempted to invade. Not because the defeats were particularly humiliating, though they were, but because t
